These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Prepared Parent™ website, free guide, emails and School Meeting Clarity Session (together, the "Services"). Prepared Parent™ is operated by Yvette Porter, Founder, and is referred to below as "Prepared Parent", "we", "us" or "our". By using the Services, requesting the guide or booking a session, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Our Services
Prepared Parent™ provides parent education and school meeting support. Our Services include The Prepared Parent™ School Meeting Clarity & Action Guide, a free printable PDF; a series of educational emails; and the School Meeting Clarity Session, a private 45-minute session to help you organize your concerns, identify your most important questions and create a plan for what you want to understand, document and follow up on during your child's school meeting.
2. Educational purposes only
Our Services are for general education and personal organization. They are not legal, medical, psychological, therapeutic or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. We are not attorneys, and no attorney-client relationship is created. We are not part of, employed by or affiliated with your child's school or school district, and we do not represent you or your child in any school meeting, evaluation, dispute or legal proceeding. Decisions about your child's education remain yours.
We do not guarantee any particular outcome from a school meeting, including any decision, service, placement or result.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and be a parent, caregiver, guardian or family member supporting a child to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up, book or complete the intake form.
4. The free guide
When you request the guide, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and print it for your own non-commercial use. You may not sell, share for payment, repost, modify or distribute the guide, or use it to create other products, without our written permission.
5. School Meeting Clarity Session
The session is a private, one-on-one, 45-minute session held by Zoom or phone, based on your choice when booking. It is offered at a Founding Participant Rate of $47 to the first 20 paid participants. Once those places are filled, the offer may close or change. Session availability depends on our calendar, and we may adjust available times.
Please do not share your child's name, student ID numbers or confidential student records with us. You can describe your situation in general terms.
6. Payments
All prices are in U.S. dollars and are charged once at the time of booking unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By paying, you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method. Your booking is confirmed only after payment is completed.
7. Scheduling, rescheduling and refunds
You may reschedule your session once, at no charge, using the link in your confirmation email at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment, you may request a refund by replying to your confirmation email. Missed appointments and cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are not eligible for a refund, but we will consider reasonable requests to reschedule in the case of emergencies. If we need to cancel or reschedule a session, we will offer you a new time or a full refund.
8. Communications
By requesting the guide or booking a session, you agree to receive emails from us, including your guide, educational tips, session-related messages and information about related offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. We do not send text messages at this time.
